Still Standing (Barely)

OMG you guys, I DID IT! Another year of nursing school officially in the books and I am ALIVE to tell about it! I honestly wasn’t sure I was gonna make it through pathophysiology but somehow I pulled it together for finals week. The amount of caffeine I consumed should probably be studied by scientists.

So now I’m sitting here with the classiest $2.99 bottle of wine from Harris Teeter (don’t judge me, I’m broke) trying to figure out what to do with my summer. Part of me wants to go home and let my mom cook for me and do my laundry, but there’s something about staying in Chapel Hill that feels right? Like maybe I need to prove I can actually adult on my own.

I think I’m gonna stay and try to get a waitressing job somewhere. How hard can it be, right? I can carry things and smile at people - that’s basically the job description. Plus if I stay I can keep volunteering at the hospital and maybe pick up some extra shifts. The pediatric ward has been so good to me this year, and I feel like I’m actually starting to figure out what kind of nurse I want to be. Cheers to summer adventures and hoping I don’t completely mess this up! 🍷
