Accidental tutoring session

Headed to the rec center this afternoon to meet Carmen for our usual workout when I spotted this girl from my anatomy class looking completely defeated over her textbook. Sarah, I think? She was staring at the circulatory system diagrams like they were written in ancient Greek.

Couldn’t just walk by. Ended up spending forty-five minutes going through the whole cardiovascular chapter with her, breaking down the pulmonary versus systemic circulation until it finally clicked. Her face when she got it? Totally worth missing half my workout.

Carmen eventually found us and just started taking pictures, said I looked like I was “in my zone” or whatever. Honestly didn’t realize how much I actually retained from all those late-night study sessions until I was explaining it to someone else. Sarah asked if I’d be willing to meet up again next week before our next exam. Maybe this whole peer tutoring thing could actually become a regular part of my routine.
