Spent the afternoon with Marcus’s friends today and I have to say - I like these people. Derek, Ben, and the whole crew came over for coffee and somehow we ended up with Derek telling the story of how he literally pushed Marcus toward me at Mitch’s that night.

“I saw him staring at you for like twenty minutes,” Derek says, “and I was like dude, either go talk to her or stop being creepy.” Marcus is turning red and I’m laughing so hard I’m crying. Apparently there was a whole strategy session in the bathroom before he finally came over. These guys clearly adore Marcus, which makes me like them even more. There’s something really sweet about watching your boyfriend with people who’ve known him forever. They tell the stories that show you who he really is - the good friend, the loyal one, the guy who remembers birthdays and brings soup when you’re sick. I’m starting to understand why he talks about these people so much.
