So we did it. We told them. Both families, Thanksgiving dinner, the whole nine yards. I was so nervous I could barely eat my mom’s turkey (which is saying something because her turkey is basically heaven on a plate).

My mom immediately started crying happy tears and asking if I’m taking my vitamins. Abuela Rosa just smiled and said “I knew - you have the glow, mija.” Roberto got all quiet and then gave Marcus this huge bear hug that lasted forever. I think he was more emotional than any of us expected. Marcus’s parents were surprised but so warm about it. His mom is already talking about converting their guest room into a nursery for visits. My mom has three baby name books ordered on Amazon. We haven’t even figured out health insurance yet and she’s planning the college fund. I love our families so much it hurts sometimes. This baby is going to be so loved before it even gets here.
