Radiant or Nauseous? (Apparently the Same Thing)
So apparently when you’re four months pregnant and trying to survive nursing school clinicals, everyone thinks you look “radiant.”

Radiant or Nauseous? (Apparently the Same Thing)
Let me tell you what radiant actually feels like: standing for twelve hours straight while your scrubs slowly stop fitting, running to pee every twenty minutes, and trying to insert IVs while your instructor cheerfully reminds you that you’re “glowing.” I told her I wasn’t glowing, I was sweating.
Marcus has been amazing through all of this - bringing me snacks, rubbing my feet, and pretending my study sessions at the kitchen counter are totally normal when I’m surrounded by seventeen textbooks and making flash cards at 11 PM.

My study buddy bringing reinforcements
He keeps saying I’m going to be an incredible nurse, which is sweet except I can barely remember if I studied for my pharmacology exam or just dreamed about it.
The baby bump is officially showing now, which means my clinical instructor keeps asking if I’m “comfortable” every five minutes.

Reading about pediatric care while growing my own little patient
I want to tell her that comfortable went out the window around week 10, but instead I smile and say I’m fine because what else do you say? Only two more months until graduation, and then I can be nauseous with a degree.

When your body needs rest but your finals don’t care
Progress, right?
