Before the storm
Sarah knocked on the door twenty minutes early, which should have been my first clue that she was as nervous about tomorrow’s exam as I was. Found me sitting on my yoga mat trying to center myself before we dove into three hours of cardiovascular pathophysiology.

Before the storm
She didn’t say anything, just sat down on the couch and waited. That’s what I love about Sarah - she gets that sometimes you need the quiet before the chaos. We’ve both been cramming for this exam for weeks, and I think we’re both running on caffeine and determination at this point.
Eventually Jake came home and found us sprawled on the living room floor with our books and notes creating a small paper city around us.

Study session in progress.
Three more days until the exam, but honestly? I think we’ve got this. There’s something about studying with someone who’s just as invested in getting it right as you are that makes the whole thing feel less impossible.
Now if I can just remember the difference between systolic and diastolic dysfunction when I’m staring at that test paper tomorrow.
