Sarah showed up with her massive stack of anatomy flashcards and the optimistic belief that two heads are better than one. Three hours later, we’ve managed to convince ourselves that the spleen is connected to the funny bone and caffeine is definitely a muscle group.

Turns out studying with someone who’s equally confused doesn’t actually make you less confused. It just makes you feel better about being confused together. Sarah keeps flipping through the nervous system cards like they’re going to suddenly make sense if she shuffles them enough.

At least the coffee’s good. Jake made a fresh pot before he left for work this morning, which means we’re properly caffeinated for our academic failure. Sarah thinks we should try again tomorrow with actual textbooks instead of just flashcards. I think we should try again tomorrow with someone who actually knows what they’re talking about.
Maybe I’ll drag us both to that study group Carmen mentioned. Or we could just accept that bones have ridiculous names and move on with our lives.
