Wedding Planning: Pinterest Edition

👩‍⚕️ Elena 👨‍💻 Marcus 🎭 Sophie

Someone needs to tell Pinterest that I have exactly 1.5 functioning brain cells right now and they’re both being used to keep Sophie alive. But here we are, three months post-baby, trying to plan a wedding while operating on approximately four hours of sleep (total, not per night).

My laptop currently has 47 Pinterest tabs open. FORTY-SEVEN. I have boards for “Dream Wedding,” “Realistic Wedding,” “Budget Wedding,” and “Wedding That Won’t Happen Because I’m Too Tired to Function.” Meanwhile, Sophie has opinions about every single venue photo. Loud, crying opinions.

Marcus, bless him, has contributed exactly zero thoughts about flowers, colors, or venues. But show him one photo of a wedding cake? Suddenly he’s Gordon Ramsay with opinions about fondant vs. buttercream and whether we need multiple tiers.

At this rate, our wedding will be Sophie’s first birthday party with slightly fancier decorations.

If you need me, I’ll be googling “wedding venues that allow crying babies” and “how to look bridal while covered in spit-up.”

Priorities, people.
