We Have a Venue!

After touring six different venues around Raleigh, we finally found THE ONE. The Merrimon-Wynne House is absolutely perfect - historic charm, gorgeous gardens, and that wraparound porch that made me literally gasp when I saw it. October 18th, 2011 is officially booked!

We Have a Venue!

Marcus is still processing the financial reality of our dream venue (hence the shell-shocked expression while reviewing the contract), but I caught him smiling when he thought I wasn’t looking. He knows this is where we need to get married. The deposit is paid and now the real planning begins!

Sophie is going to be the most adorable flower girl walking down that aisle. She’ll be sixteen months old by then - hopefully walking steadily and not trying to eat the petals. A girl can dream, right?
