After weeks of interviews and portfolio presentations, he finally got the call this morning. I may have squealed louder than he did when he told me the news.

This promotion is such a big deal - more responsibility, better projects, and yes, a salary bump that means we can finally start seriously house hunting. Marcus has been working so hard these past few months, staying up late perfecting his portfolio and practicing presentation after presentation in our tiny living room. Sophie was his best practice audience, even though she mostly just clapped at the pretty colors on his laptop screen.

We’re celebrating tonight with takeout from his favorite Thai place and maybe a bottle of wine once Sophie goes to bed. Here’s to new beginnings and my incredibly talented husband who still gets nervous before every big meeting but absolutely crushes it when it matters. Bandwidth has no idea how lucky they are to have him.
