The supplement intervention
Sarah showed up this afternoon with a grocery bag full of bottles and the kind of determined expression that means business. Turns out she’s been researching recovery nutrition for our training and decided my current approach of ‘eat whatever’s in the fridge’ needed some professional intervention.

The supplement intervention
We spread everything across my kitchen counter like we were setting up a tiny pharmacy. Protein powder, magnesium, fish oil, some green powder that looks like it came from another planet. Sarah had actual research printed out - studies and dosage recommendations and timing charts. I felt simultaneously impressed and completely out of my depth.

Creating our master plan for recovery nutrition
Two hours later we had a system. Color-coded schedule, meal timing, pre and post-workout protocols. Sarah even made me a cheat sheet for my phone because she knows I’ll forget half of this by tomorrow. Jake walked through twice, shook his head at our organized chaos, and quietly restocked his coffee supply in the corner.
Honestly? I’m equal parts excited and intimidated. But if Sarah thinks this will help our training, I’m willing to try drinking green sludge for a few weeks. The things we do for faster recovery times.
