Theo’s dinosaur collection has officially reached 23 members. Each one has a name. Each one gets introduced to every visitor who walks through our door. If you dare call Rex by the wrong name (it’s specifically ‘Big Rex,’ not just ‘Rex’), you will be corrected by a very serious twenty-month-old.

I watched him arrange them all in a circle on the kitchen floor this afternoon, giving each one what I can only assume was important dinosaur news. He held up each plastic friend like he was presenting them at a board meeting. The commitment to the bit is honestly impressive.

Marcus pointed out that Theo has a more active social calendar than either of us. The difference is all his friends are plastic and mine require actual pants to visit. I’m not sure who has the better deal here.

At this rate we’re going to need a bigger house just for the dinosaur population. Or maybe they can start paying rent.
