Deck Goals

So we finally did it. After months of me pinning string light inspiration to my secret Pinterest board (yes, I have seventeen Pinterest boards, no I’m not ashamed), Marcus actually hung them up.

I had this vision of our deck becoming this magical evening hangout spot, and honestly? Mission accomplished. The whole backyard looks completely different with just some warm white lights. Marcus spent an hour measuring and installing while I “helped” by taking photos and making helpful suggestions like “a little to the left” and “are you sure that’s level?”

I already know this is going to be my go-to photo spot. The lighting is perfect, the backdrop is cozy without trying too hard, and let’s be real - I look great under string lights. Marcus rolled his eyes when I said that, but he also immediately offered to take a test photo, so he gets it.

Now I just need to convince him that we need a fire pit to complete the whole vibe. Baby steps.
