Seven AM and already winning
The coffee maker decided this morning was the perfect time to stage a revolt. Water everywhere, coffee grounds scattered like confetti, and Jake staring at the mess like it personally offended him.

Seven AM and already winning
Apparently the bottom seal finally gave up after three years of faithful service. Of course this happens on a Tuesday when we both have early meetings and our backup plan is the instant coffee that’s been sitting in the cabinet since we moved in.
But here’s what I love about us - no drama, no finger-pointing about who was supposed to notice the weird gurgling sounds last week. Just Jake holding the coffee maker like he’s diagnosing a patient while I grab paper towels.

Teamwork makes the dream work, even at 7 AM
Twenty minutes later we’re splitting the last decent cup from yesterday’s pot that was still in the carafe, and somehow we’re both out the door on time.
Adding ‘new coffee maker’ to this week’s shopping list. Right under ‘remember why we keep that instant coffee around.’
