Sunday stillness
Carmen brought over this mystery novel she’s been raving about and ended up curled on our living room floor, completely absorbed.

Sunday stillness
Something about watching her read in that patch of afternoon sunlight made me grab my phone.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about how much my life has changed in the past few months. The pottery project with Sarah, the cultural workshop series finally getting official approval, even the way Jake and I have found our rhythm with my crazy schedule.

Lost in thought while Carmen reads
It’s like all these pieces I’ve been working on separately are finally starting to fit together into something that feels intentional.
Carmen looked up at one point and caught me staring out the window. “Deep thoughts?” she asked. I just shrugged, but yeah - deep thoughts. Good ones though. The kind that happen when you realize you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Sunday afternoons like this remind me that sometimes the best growth happens in the quiet spaces between all the doing.
