When warrior pose meets kitchen choreography
Twenty minutes into what was supposed to be a peaceful morning yoga session and my phone shuffled to that Dua Lipa song. You know the one. Suddenly warrior pose became warrior dance pose and the whole routine went sideways in the best possible way.

When warrior pose meets kitchen choreography
Jake left early for a weekend shift, which means I had the apartment to myself and zero witnesses to my questionable dance moves. Started on the mat like a responsible adult, doing actual yoga poses and everything.

Started with yoga, ended with kitchen dance moves
Then the music got too good and my body had other ideas.
There’s something about moving your body first thing in the morning that just sets everything right. Doesn’t matter if it’s downward dog or kitchen counter choreography - both count as self-care in my book. Plus I burned more calories dancing than I would have holding tree pose for another ten minutes.
Now I’m making coffee and my legs feel like jelly, but the good kind. The kind that reminds you that your body is capable of joy, not just holding you upright through twelve-hour shifts. Some mornings you need zen, some mornings you need to dance it out. Today was definitely a dance-it-out kind of morning.
