Annual music judgment day
Alex texted at 3pm asking if he could come over for what he called an ‘emergency consultation.’ Turns out he’d finally clicked on his Spotify Wrapped and was having what can only be described as an existential crisis about his top artists list.

Annual music judgment day
Apparently discovering that 40% of your listening time was spent on lo-fi study playlists and movie soundtracks isn’t the flex he thought it would be. The real kicker? His number one song was the Minecraft soundtrack. Not ironically. Just… genuinely his most-played track of the year.

The exact moment of musical betrayal revelation
The look of pure betrayal when I pointed out that his ‘diverse music taste’ was actually just the same three ambient playlists on repeat. Jake’s been documenting this whole meltdown from the kitchen, probably adding it to his ‘Alex’s Greatest Hits’ photo collection.
To his credit, Alex is now demanding we create a ‘music rehabilitation plan’ for 2023. I told him step one is accepting that there’s nothing wrong with the Minecraft soundtrack. It’s actually pretty good background music for our pottery planning sessions.
