Thirty-Six and Unstoppable

👩‍⚕️ Elena

Another year older and absolutely zero apologies for knowing exactly how good I look.

Thirty-six hits different when you’ve spent the last year actually putting in the work. Every 5 AM workout, every meal prepped on Sunday, every time I chose the stairs instead of the elevator - it all shows. And yes, I’m going to photograph it.

Marcus has become my unofficial photographer because apparently I have standards now.

“Can you get my good side?” “They’re all your good sides,” he says, and this is why I keep him. Though between you and me, we both know the left side photographs better.

I made him retake this one twelve times because the lighting wasn’t quite right, and he didn’t even complain. Much.

The thing about being thirty-six is that I finally stopped apologizing for taking up space, for wanting to be seen, for posting the photo even when there’s chaos happening off-camera. Sophie thinks I’m “extra” and she’s absolutely right. Theo asked why I was sitting on the counter and honestly, kiddo, sometimes you just need a different perspective. This year I’m claiming all of it - the confidence, the attention, the unapologetic joy of being exactly who I am. Thirty-six and refusing to shrink for anyone.
