Carmen showed up at 2 PM with three textbooks, two energy drinks, and what she called “tactical highlighters.” Six hours later, my living room looks like a library exploded and we’ve both entered that delirious stage where everything is either hilarious or deeply concerning.

This is Carmen at hour four, still maintaining some semblance of organization. Those neat little piles of notes? Long gone now. We’ve moved past color-coding and into full survival mode.

Currently taking a coffee break because Carmen just spent ten minutes trying to highlight an entire paragraph with a pen.

These are the faces of two women who thought they could definitely handle Advanced Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in the same semester. The confidence was admirable. The reality is… this.

Jake wisely disappeared around dinner time with a mumbled excuse about “giving us space to study.” Smart man. He’ll probably sleep on the couch tonight just to avoid the paper tornado that is currently our bedroom.
