The polo shirt feels weird — I keep tugging at it like it’s going to reveal some deep secret about being an actual working person instead of just someone who occasionally helps people stretch.

Spent the morning double-checking my class schedule against my work hours for the third time this week. Anatomy lab Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, organic chemistry Monday Wednesday Friday mornings, work shifts scattered around the edges.

Jake made me promise to text him if the supervisor turns out to be one of those people who thinks college students are inherently unreliable. I told him I’d be fine, but honestly? It’s nice having someone in my corner who gets nervous about my first days too.

Time to go learn what being officially employed actually means. Wish me luck.
