Planning revelations
Staring at our coffee table right now and it looks like a paper tornado hit it.

Planning revelations
Three hours of anniversary planning will do that to you. What started as a simple “let’s pick a weekend getaway” somehow turned into spreadsheets, pros and cons lists, and Jake pulling out his laptop to research hotel reviews.
The funny thing is, I thought we’d just flip through a travel magazine and point at something pretty. Instead, we discovered I’m the “let’s book the first place that looks nice” person and he’s the “but what if there’s something better three pages later” person.

Who knew weekend planning could be so… educational?
We finally picked a mountain town about two hours north - compromise between my “somewhere cozy” and his “somewhere with hiking trails and good restaurants.” But honestly, watching how we each approach decisions was more interesting than the actual destination. I jump in headfirst, he weighs every option twice. Somehow we make it work.
Now I just need to clean up this planning explosion before it takes over our entire living room. Though part of me wants to leave it for a day, just to remember how much thought went into our first real anniversary trip together.
