Professional boundaries
Had one of those conversations at work yesterday that stays with you long after it’s over. Alex and I finally addressed the elephant in the room about his intensity during our team training sessions.

Professional boundaries
It wasn’t easy telling someone I genuinely like that their competitive energy was affecting the whole group dynamic. But watching newer staff members shrink back during sessions made it clear something had to change. The weird part? He thanked me afterward. Said no one had ever given him direct feedback about it before.
Spent this afternoon thinking about how many times I’ve let uncomfortable situations drag on because I didn’t want to rock the boat.

Processing mode activated.
Turns out speaking up clearly and kindly isn’t confrontation – it’s actually caring enough about the relationship to make it work better.
Funny how the conversations we avoid are often the ones that strengthen things in the end.
