Blue people and long lines

👩‍⚕️ Elena

Never thought I’d be the type to wait three hours in a parking lot for a movie, but here we are. Carmen bailed last minute (something about “needing actual sleep”), so I’m flying solo at the Avatar midnight premiere with about two hundred other people who apparently also have questionable life priorities.

The line wraps around the entire parking lot but nobody's complaining

This line is absolutely insane. Started forming around 9pm and now it wraps completely around the theater parking lot. Everyone’s bundled up with blankets and folding chairs like we’re camping, which I guess we basically are. The guy next to me brought a thermos of hot chocolate and offered me some, which restored my faith in humanity.

Finally made it inside and I have to admit, holding that ticket feels pretty epic. Jake thinks I’m crazy for doing this on a Monday night when I have anatomy lab tomorrow, but sometimes you just have to do something completely impractical. Plus everyone keeps saying this movie is going to change everything, so I figured I should see what all the fuss is about.

T-minus fifteen minutes until showtime. If I fall asleep in lab tomorrow, at least I’ll have a good story to explain it.
