Sophie's First Thanksgiving
Five months old and Sophie is already running this family like a tiny dictator. Abuela Rosa claimed her the moment we walked into my parents’ house and basically refused to share for the entire day. Every time someone else tried to hold her, Abuela would swoop in with “No, no, she needs her bisabuela.” Roberto got teary-eyed watching them together, which made me cry, which made Marcus panic because he thought something was wrong.

Sophie’s First Thanksgiving
Mom made enough food for the entire neighborhood again. Turkey, ham, three kinds of stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce (homemade AND canned because Dad insists), rolls, and four different pies. For twelve people. We’ll be eating leftovers until New Year’s, and honestly? I’m not complaining.
Sophie slept through most of dinner in her little turkey onesie, completely unbothered by the chaos around her. She’s going to fit right into this loud, loving, slightly overwhelming family. First Thanksgiving in the books, and she crushed it without even trying.
