Spring fever

Temperature outside: 45 degrees. Jake’s outfit: shorts and a t-shirt. Windows: wide open because “it’s officially spring now.” Logic: nowhere to be found.

Spring fever

I pointed out that just because the calendar says April doesn’t mean we need to pretend it’s beach weather, but apparently my boyfriend has decided winter is over by sheer force of will. He’s been walking around like this all morning, occasionally rubbing his arms but refusing to either close the windows or put on actual clothes.

“The fresh air feels amazing,” he insists, while literally shivering at his desk.

The commitment to ‘spring weather’ continues.

I love his optimism, but I also love feeling my fingers, so I’m staying in my sweatshirt until Mother Nature gets the memo that spring is supposed to be, you know, warm.

Update: he just asked me to make hot coffee. The windows remain open.
