Down the rabbit hole
Started reading about stress responses for my pathophysiology review. Somehow ended up three chapters deep in a psychology textbook Jake left on the coffee table, completely fascinated by this section on cognitive load theory.

Down the rabbit hole
It’s supposed to be winter break, but I can’t seem to turn off the study brain. Every book I pick up leads to five more questions, and before I know it I’m sprawled on the couch with half our textbook collection scattered around me like some kind of academic explosion.

The exact moment I realized I’d been reading about cognitive psychology for an hour when I needed to review cardiac rhythms.
Jake keeps walking by and shaking his head at the chaos. “Didn’t you say you were going to relax this week?” Yeah, well, apparently my version of relaxing involves falling down psychology rabbit holes when I should be reviewing cardiac rhythms. At least I’m learning something, right?
Though I should probably figure out where I put my actual nursing notes before tomorrow’s study session with Carmen. Pretty sure they’re somewhere under this pile of books about how the brain processes information. The irony is not lost on me.
