Emergency assistance

👩‍⚕️ Elena ✨ P_alex-chen

Alex knocked on our door at 2pm looking like someone had stolen his puppy. Turns out his laptop crashed this morning and took three weeks of work documents with it — stuff he needs for Monday’s presentation to the athletics department. No backup. Classic Alex.

Jake made coffee while Alex dumped everything from his gym bag onto our kitchen counter. Receipts, handwritten notes, printed emails, random sticky notes — somehow he’d kept paper copies of almost everything but had no clue how to organize it into something coherent. Two hours later we’d reconstructed most of his presentation materials and created a filing system even Alex can maintain.

Crisis averted. Alex owes me dinner.

Crisis averted. Alex owes me dinner.

Turns out I’m pretty good at emergency damage control when it’s not my own crisis. Alex promised to buy us dinner once his presentation goes well Monday, and honestly after seeing his organizational skills, I’m just impressed he functions as well as he does day-to-day.
