The tiny house conspiracy

Started reading one article about space-efficient storage solutions this morning. Now it’s 4pm and I’m three library books deep into sustainable building practices and off-grid electrical systems.

How did I get here? Carmen mentioned seeing a tiny house documentary on Netflix, which led me to Google “tiny house cost breakdown,” which somehow spiraled into checking out actual construction manuals from the library. Jake thinks I’ve lost my mind, but these engineering solutions are fascinating.

The floor situation has gotten completely out of hand.

The floor nest has officially taken over.

I’ve got books on passive solar heating, rainwater collection, and composting toilets spread across half the living room. Jake stepped over me twice to get to his desk and just shook his head.

For the record, I’m not actually planning to build a tiny house. I think. But if I were, I now know way too much about foundation anchoring systems and the optimal angle for solar panel installation. Knowledge is power, right?
