YouTube made it look so easy. Three strands, over-under-over, how hard could it be?

Turns out bread dough has opinions about being manipulated by amateur hands. What started as three neat ropes somehow became an abstract sculpture that vaguely resembles a braid if you squint. Jake offered helpful commentary from across the kitchen like “maybe looser?” and “is it supposed to look angry?”

Not perfect, but it’s mine

Final result: edible, if not exactly bakery-worthy. Jake’s already requesting a repeat performance next weekend. Apparently my determination to wrestle dough into submission is entertaining.

Note to self: practice on rope first.
