Afternoon silence

👩‍⚕️ Elena

Jake’s at his parents’ place helping them move furniture, and the apartment feels different when it’s just me. Not empty exactly - more like it’s holding its breath.

Afternoon silence

I started to roll out my yoga mat for a quick session, but ended up just sitting next to it instead, watching dust motes dance in the late afternoon light. There’s something about these in-between hours that always makes me think too much. About the visit to Abuela Rosa I keep postponing. About whether I’m ready to really step into being the family’s story keeper, or if I’m just playing house with recipes and pottery projects.
