Adult Halloween energy unlocked
Thirty-four years old and still getting genuinely excited about Halloween costumes. There’s something beautifully ridiculous about a group of working professionals spending legitimate time debating whether vampire fangs or zombie makeup creates better dramatic effect.

Adult Halloween energy unlocked
We decided on a ‘comfortable but committed’ theme this year, which basically translates to ‘we want to look good in photos but also be able to walk more than two blocks.’ Carmen went full vampire drama with the leather jacket and everything. Sarah’s skeleton face paint is honestly impressive - apparently YouTube tutorials have gotten scary good. Jake’s werewolf ears are doing things for his jawline that should probably be illegal.

The commitment to character is real.
Michelle brought actual witch energy with that hat, and Alex committed to the zombie thing despite originally claiming he was ‘too old for costumes.’ The best part? Nobody suggested we were too old for this. We’re just leaning into the fact that adult Halloween means you can afford better makeup and don’t have to worry about your parents approving your costume choices.
Currently debating whether to hit the neighborhood party scene or just stay in and hand out candy while rating other people’s costumes. Either way, this friend group knows how to make ordinary Monday night feel like an event.
