Trial by flashcard
Walked into that study room at 3pm today with my anatomy book clutched like a security blanket and approximately zero confidence. The nursing study group I’d been stalking at the gym for weeks? Yeah, they’re intense. In the best possible way.

Turns out there are five of them - all juniors and seniors who’ve been doing this since freshman year. They had color-coded flashcards, Elena. COLOR-CODED. Meanwhile I’m over here with my highlighter-explosion notes trying to remember which chamber of the heart does what. But here’s the thing - they didn’t make me feel stupid for asking basic questions. Actually helped me reorganize my entire study system in two hours.

The aftermath. Note to self: review circulatory system before next week.
This is me three hours later, still trying to absorb everything they taught me about effective note-taking. My brain feels like it ran a marathon, but the good kind of exhausted. Sarah (she’s a senior, wants to do pediatric nursing) said I should definitely come back next week. Pretty sure I said yes before she even finished the sentence.
Carmen’s picking me up for dinner in an hour and I’m already planning to talk her ear off about cardiac cycles and study strategies. She’s going to regret asking how it went.
