Finally made it to that nursing study group I’ve been psyching myself up to join. Three other girls who’ve been meeting for months - they had this whole system down with color-coded highlighters and abbreviations I’d never seen before.

Spent the first twenty minutes just trying to follow their conversation about muscle attachments while frantically flipping through my textbook. They were nice enough, but there’s definitely an established dynamic here. Sarah seems to be the unofficial leader who keeps everyone on track, Jess asks a million questions, and Megan just sits there absorbing everything like a sponge.

Color-coded chaos that somehow makes sense

My highlighting strategy looks like a rainbow exploded compared to their neat, organized systems. But hey, at least I understood most of the material they were covering. That anatomy cramming has been paying off I guess.

Weird being the new person trying to figure out where I fit. Carmen keeps telling me I overthink everything, and she’s probably right. But walking into an established group feels like trying to join a conversation that started an hour ago. Think I’ll give it another week or two before deciding if this is my crowd.
