Study buddy system

Jake and I figured out the perfect solution to our lunch-versus-study-time dilemma. Instead of me feeling guilty about skipping meals or him feeling shut out of my academic life, we’re doing library dates.

Turns out he’s actually really good at anatomy flashcards, even if he does make faces every time I quiz him on muscle insertions. And I’m discovering that having someone across from me who occasionally looks up and smiles makes even the most boring respiratory system diagrams feel less overwhelming.

When your study partner finds your nursing notes hilarious.

We’ve been here for two hours and I’ve gotten more done than usual, plus I don’t feel like I’m choosing between my relationship and my grades. Win-win, right?

Though I should probably warn him that next week we’re covering the reproductive system and I’m not sure his maturity level is ready for that particular study session.
