Funny how putting your thoughts out into the void actually brings people back to you.

Sarah found my blog through some random running forum link, read about my training disasters with Carmen, and boom - suddenly I have an invite to join a real running group with people who actually know what they’re doing.
Been staring at her email for two days now. It’s not like I don’t want to join - the idea of running with people who won’t judge me for walking up hills sounds amazing. But there’s something weird about knowing someone read all my rambling posts about struggling through 5Ks before we even met. Like, she knows I cried after my first race because my calves cramped up at mile two.
Maybe that’s not a bad thing though.

Actually putting thoughts into words for once.
At least she knows exactly what she’s getting if I show up. No pretending I’m faster than I am or that I have any clue about proper running form. Just Elena, the girl who blogs about accidentally becoming an anatomy tutor and can barely keep up with Carmen’s “easy” pace.
Think I’m going to reply tomorrow. Worst case scenario, I make some new friends who can teach me how to breathe while running uphill. Best case, I finally figure out why everyone else makes it look so effortless.
