👩‍⚕️ Elena

Sitting here scrolling through old blog comments and it’s kind of wild to think about how that random post about running led to Sarah reaching out.

One offhand mention of training struggles and suddenly I’ve got an invitation to join an actual running group with people who know what they’re doing.

I keep going back and forth on it. Part of me loves the idea of having more structure, maybe learning some new techniques, definitely meeting people outside my usual circle. But there’s also that voice in my head asking if I’m ready to be the newbie in a group of experienced runners. What if I can’t keep up? What if they’re all way more serious about this than I am?

Then again, Sarah seemed genuinely excited when she mentioned it, like she thought I’d actually fit in. And honestly, Carmen and I have hit a bit of a plateau with our training lately.

Maybe what I need is exactly this kind of push into something unfamiliar.

Funny how putting your thoughts out there into the void sometimes circles back in ways you never expected. Still deciding, but I’m leaning toward yes. Worst case scenario, I get some new running tips and a good story out of it.
