Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” came on while I was making lunch and apparently I have zero self-control.

There I was, wooden spoon in hand, giving what I thought was a Grammy-worthy performance in our living room. Full choreography, dramatic arm gestures, the works.

Jake walked in during my bridge solo and just stood there grinning like he’d discovered buried treasure.

Busted.

Turns out he’d been watching for at least thirty seconds before I noticed him. Now he keeps putting on my “study playlist” just to see if I’ll crack again.

The worst part? He admitted he does the same thing with his classic rock when I’m not home. We’re both ridiculous and I’m oddly okay with that.
