Four Years and Counting
October 18th, 2011. We said “I do” in front of 127 people at the Merrimon-Wynne House, and I’m pretty sure we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

Four Years and Counting
Four years later, we’re holding that same wedding photo in our tiny apartment that now houses two kids, approximately forty-seven stuffed animals, a high chair, a bouncy seat, and Marcus’s ever-growing collection of random hobbies. Sophie’s artwork covers every available surface, and I’m pretty sure there’s a bottle somewhere in this kitchen that I haven’t found yet.
We’ve been talking about house hunting for months, but looking at this comparison really drives it home - we’ve literally outgrown this place. Between Theo’s gear taking over the living room and Sophie needing actual space to run around (and jump off things, much to my horror), it’s time. The apartment that felt so perfect for newlyweds is bursting at the seams with our beautiful chaos.
Here’s to four years of marriage, two perfect kids, and hopefully finding a house soon before we all lose our minds. Marcus keeps joking that we need a bigger place just for his guitar equipment, but let’s be honest - it’s really about creating space for all the memories we’re still making.
