Plot twist

👩‍⚕️ Elena

Just had one of those moments where you realize something you do casually actually matters to people.

Plot twist

Plot twist

Remember that post I wrote about finishing the 10K with Carmen? Sarah Chen - who I barely knew from campus - left this thoughtful comment about her own running struggles. We ended up emailing back and forth, and today she invited me to check out her running group. Apparently my rambling about race day nerves and finding your pace actually resonated with someone.

I started this blog mostly to keep track of my own thoughts and maybe share training updates with Carmen. Never thought a stranger would read about my sweaty post-race breakdown and think “hey, I want to run with this girl.”

Typing up my response to Sarah’s comment

The internet is weird in the best possible way.

Now I’m actually considering joining Sarah’s group. Part of me is nervous about running with people I don’t know, but the other part is excited about expanding beyond my usual Carmen-and-me routine. Plus Sarah seems genuinely cool, and I could use more friends who understand why I voluntarily wake up at 6am to go suffer through miles.
